Vermiculite
Is the geological name for a group of lamellar hydrate minerals which occurs as aluminium-iron-magnesium silicates.
Raw vermiculite consists of thin flakes which under sudden exposure to high temperatures (1000 degrees Celsius) exfoliates to many times its original volume. The exfoliation occurs due to the inter laminate steam generation. Hereby a very light product which consists of millions of small airtight cells occurs. At the same time the product is entirely sterile without any organic substances or any fungus spores.
On the following pages our product ranges and some of the fields of application are described.
