Moler is a unique mixture of diatoms, small remains of skeleton of diatoms and plastic clay which is only to be found in and around the islands Fur and Mors in Denmark. The diatoms which form about 2/3 of the moler, are small porous structures of amorphous SiO2. The deposits are about 54 mio. years old and have ever since the beginning of the industrial utilization a hundred years ago, been a highly appreciated raw and subsidiary material in a variety of products for a numerous kind of industries.
Through sophisticated mechanical and thermal processes dried and calcinated powder and granulate products are produced, which are exported all over the world.
